30 hours entitlement
Applications for 30 hours places from September are now open!
Parents need to apply 1 term ahead of when they can start. Children turning 3 on or before 31st August 2021 should apply before the start of the September term. The guidance states that “if not, they will need to wait until the following term to access their 30 hours place”
Application Process for Parents
Parents can check if they are eligible for a range of government childcare offers. Those who could be eligible for 30 hours and/or Tax-Free childcare from Sept 18 will be directed to the digital childcare service to apply. Parents eligible for 30 hours will get an eligibility code. Visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk and follow online instructions.
What can parents apply for?
The childcare service is an online account. Parents will apply for support – and once that’s done, they’ll have a digital account that they can use to administer Tax-Free Childcare and 30 hours.Tax-Free Childcare offers financial support – so parents can pay money into the account, receive a government top-up, and then pay their childcare to provide directly.
